Nathaniel was born on Earth in the futuristic city of Haley Blue, where he grew an obsession with technology. He is a natural leader and an adrenaline junkie at heart, always pushing the limits of height and speed his nuba board could take. Although he is quick to take leadership, he is just as quick to share the spotlight with his friends, never taking full glory for himself. Nathaniel possesses athletic speed and endurance that help his transformational and telapathic capibilities allowing him to fight off the disciple of the dark force.

Also born on Earth, Eva grew up in an Andean mountain village where she was born into an influential family, with her father as Head of Council. She mostly spends her time exploring the wonderous mountains and creating artful masks for the village ceremonies. She is creative, confident, and strong-willed. Such strong will helps power the pendant around her neck, allowing her to manifest a shield and conceive visions of the other seven members. 

Russine was born into the ruling royal family on the planet Crystalline, where he stood as an affluent prince who was famous for his winning streak in agile aircraft races. Russine's extraordinary piloting skills assisted his unique ability to transport ships across the portals unlike the the other members restricted to transporting themselves. He was not one to follow the rule of his family and preferred independancy, though while aloft, he still showed traits of commitment to his friends and family.

Petalan was born on the ethereal planet of Enlightenment where she enjoyed long walks along the river banks and observing the native forest wildlife. Growing up with the advanced culture of the planet Enlightenment, and intense curiosity, she expanded her knowledge well beyond that of the other seven members. Her connection to nature and immense knowledge accommodated her ability to uses sand as way to project a vision of the other members.

Born on planet Eustacius, Ackrun endured a very rough childhood surrounded by war and violence.  Scarred by the memory of his mother tortured by soldiers, he strove to achieve internal peace but was constantly conflicted with the drag of suppressed anger and disappointment. Such pent-up anger compliments his distinct strength, able to effortlessly bend steel. 

Maritania was born on the water planet of Skion, and surrounded by endless ocean, she spent her time exploring the rich seas and hanging out at her secret rock landing. Being accustomed to water her whole life, she was able to use her powers to command water to her will. However, Maritania held deep insecurity about her family, with her parents being largely unknown to her it reflected in her nonchalant personality. 

Fathire is briefly introduced in Book 1 where assists Nathaniel by transforming his body into his, to fight off the dark force, as he is from the same planet and race as Fatius.
